What do I need to use your services?
Any PC with an Internet connection can access our services.When you establish connection to the web you need nothing else.
Does The Gallaria Web Hosting design my web pages for me as well?
The Gallaria Web Hosting only offers hosting packages.
However Design by Kats Korner will design your site if you can not or choose not to do your own design work for a modest fee.
What is the OS installed on the server(s) hosting my account(s)?
All servers are operated using Redhat Linux V7.3 and above, with CPanel being your platforms for maintenance of your
account(s).
Do you support Microsoft Frontpage 2002 Server Extensions?
We are running the latest build of CPanel 5.3, which includes support for FrontPageTM 2002 extensions. The servers are running on Linux RedHat 7.3, which goes to say that besides NT platform specific programs such as VBScript and ASP, all other functions are the same.
How long does it take for my account to be activated?
New orders are usually setup within 24 hours on working days and 48 hours on weekends. We are based in California (USA)
Most new accounts will be created and issued in less than 12 hours. ... but none exceeding 24 hours, unless otherwise stated.
This does depend on resource availability as we may decide not to accept new orders so not to overload servers. In such rare cases, we will advise the customer accordingly.
I have not thought of a definite domain name yet. Can I sign up with you first then change my domain name later?
Yes but your account will not be fully set up until you have a domain name.
Do you allow adult material? Isn't it illegal?
The Gallaria Web Hosting does not offer adult material on these 2 plans.

Do consider that each client/company is bound by its own legal terms within its country of registration. If it is illegal within your country to host such offensive content, you are committing an illegal act. It is best to check with your local legislation before proceeding further.
Do you allow custom scripts?
You have your own cgi-bin and may install whatever scripts you choose there. The Gallaria will not do any trouble shooting or maintanace of those scripts.
How many IPs do you give upon sign-up?
Upon account signup, you will be given 2 IPs. One of them will house both the domain and the name server, and the other for the secondary name server.
If I want to try out your Gallaria 1 first. Is it possible for me to upgrade later on? What are the charges involved?
You are free to upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime. There are no additional charges for your change of plan. If you are upgrading your plan with us, you just have to pay for the pro-rated usage of the new plan untill the end of your billing month. If you are downgrading your plan, we will even pro-rate the service amount that you have unused for, and refund the amount to you.
I would like more information on your service. Please include details on your support options, what type of 'multiple' backbone connections do you use, what type of backup is there, and any other information you can give me.
Customer accounts are in the Fremont facility, which boasts one of the best-connected BGP-routed national backbones. We peer with private and public providers directly at the exchange point level to ensure optimum speed, performance and uptime.

What is your SLA?
We offer a 99% uptime guarantee. The reason that we cannot afford to guarantee 100% is due to the fact that your account will be hosted on a shared environment where any ignorant or malicious acts can result in such damages. However, should your site's uptime be anything less than promised, we will offer you a month's refund with no questions asked.
Do you support ASP?
No, we do not support ASP. ASP is not very stable on Linux based servers as they are meant for Windows NT based servers.
Do you support ColdFusion?
Unfortunately, due to the incompatibility of Linux based servers housing ColdFusion, we do not support this software.
Do you support JSP and its servelets?
No, we do not support JSP and its servelets as they are not meant for Linux based servers. Overseeing this requirement brings the server speed down terribly, even to a crawl at times.
Once I sign up how long will it take to view or enter my site?
Once you sign up for your account, it will take us approximately 12 hours to create the account for you, unless otherwise stated. You will receive a welcome e-mail notifying you of your account details. It is ready to view/use immediately then, but just using the IPs. It will take about 24-72 hours after updating your registrar of the changes. Once the changes have propagated, you can then view your site using the domain name(s).
What is the configuration of the server that I will be hosted on?
We pride ourselves in offering resource hungry and extremely performance demanding systems for the reliable and assured server performances. All our servers come with at least P4 processors or dual P3 processors, with 512MB RAM. This is the bare minimum our servers are equipped with and will be upgraded anytime whenever deemed necessary

Do you have real audio and video streaming softwares on the server?
Unfortunately, we do not.
Can I have ImageMagick installed?
Yes just mail us with your domain name and we will have the software installed for you at no extra charge.
I need to have a particular Perl module installed. Can I do it myself?
Unfortunately, you cannot install these modules yourself, as they require root level access. However, just do drop us a mail with your domain name and we will install the necessary components for you at the soonest
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments through PayPal or 2checkout.com.
Can I get a discount if I choose to prepay my payments?
We offer discounts for prepayments of 3 months at a time.
What's the dialup and login details after I signup?
The Gallaria Web Hosting does not provide dialup and access service ... that is left up to Internet Service Providers (ISP). Instead we specialize in web hosting and infrastructure services ... we are an Internet Presence Provider (IPP).
So, you will not get a dialup account when signing up for any service with us. All login details that you will be receiving from us upon signing up will be pertaining your webhosting account details.
How do I configure my domain to point to my Gallaria account?
You will have to log in to the customer panel at your domain registrar. That would be the company where you purchsed your domain name. There you will update your domain with new IPs. Once the changes have been submitted, they should be able to resolve by their names within 24-72 hours.
I am unable to logon to Cpanel. I keep getting the "Page Not Found"Error Page.
Do check that the address that you have referred to maps correctly.

Note: If your IP address has not propagated,(been less than 24-72 hours since you updated your registrar) you have to replace the domain name with any of the two IP address issued to you.
I can access my site with no problems. However, some of my friends are unable to access my site from other certain countries.
IPs will propagate faster in certain countries than others, as they are all dependent on settings over countless servers and ISPs. However if the problem persists for more than 48hrs, you may have to remove the contents of your site and upload it again.
My site has resolved correctly but I see a directory listing instead of my page, what is wrong?
There is no index master control file placed in your home directory. Place any file with index.(*) and the page will be automatically loaded up as the homepage.
I have wrongly submitted a domain name, which I do not feel like using anymore. Can I have the domain name changed?
Yes, do drop us your current and proposed domain names and we will proceed to do the necessary re-mappings for you. However, due to the complicated nature of the processes involved, please do note that there will be a charge of $10.00 (US) for this service request.
What is SSL?
SSL, Secure Socket Layer, works by using a public key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL connection. This is meant for secure connections, which may transmit secure data such as credit card information and other sensitive data.
Can I have SSL installed for my site
To offer SSL functionality to your site
1.The site must have be IP based (using a dedicated IP)
2. Purchase a SSL certificate from any authorized vendor.
3. Upload the certificate key to your account and drop us an e-mail with the pathname (Do not attach the file within the mail)
4.We will then install the certificate for you at no extra charge.
Can I share my SSL?
We do not support shared SSL as it defeats the purpose of having secure connections individual to each domain. Shared SSLs use the main server and then load up the contents of the account created on the server. This is not of optimal security.
What will happen if I exceed or reach the limit of plans bandwidth?<
The system will immediately suspend all accounts, which have consumed more than their allocated bandwidth on daily batch basis. However, the account can be immediately unsuspended upon realization providing you want to purchase more bandwidth for the month.
I am having a problem accessing my site. It is extremely slow or it does not even load up at all?
Countless factors can contribute to a sites downtime. To minimize these possibilities, try loading up your site using a different ISP and/or browser. Also do a traceroute on your end to check if all is well.

Can I access my webmail directly without having to log on to CPanel and then access the mailbox?
Yes, mailboxes can be accessed directly by using the port address at 2095
E.g. http://www.yourdomainname.com:2095
You then simply enter your id and password and the mail window will open.
If you are using Outlook Express you can also configure your mailbox to deliver your mail directly there.
I'm trying to schedule a Cron job but it doesn't seem to work exactly when I want it to. How do the numbers reflect the timing?
A Cron job entry looks like this:
45 2 30 8 12 /home/user/script.pl
where /home/user/script.pl is the job to be set.
The job will execute based on the timings that;
the first number is the minute of the hour,
the second number is the hour of the day,
the third number is the day of the month,
the fourth number is the month of the year and
the fifth number is the day of the week.
Does The Gallaria Web Hosting offer phone support?
